Building With Hemp
Hemp crete is a very sustainable way to insulate your home. It offers a very solid insulation that is mold, vermin and weather resistant. Hemp can be grown and harvested and then grown again very quickly.

This is the first time I hear about hempcrete. I had to look it up.
I wonder how it compares to other insulation materials economically.

It was fascinating the way they almost cast the house in a flexible mold so that in the end it is a single structure.

Ah, they said towards the end that hempcrete/hemplime is 20 to 30 percent more expensive than conventional materials.
Best regards, Niklas ๐
Yes, I don't understand why it would be so much more expensive but I think that possibly it is one of those things where if it were more popular it would become cheaper. The initial outlay for the technology might be what is making it expensive right now but over time as people start to use this option it might become less expensive. Especially since Hemp is a very "renewable" product.
